KUHSTALL (FORMER COWSHED)

Impressions

Up to the end of the nineties, this barn constructed in 1845 by Caspar von Buchwaldt was of crucial importance to the agricultural operations at Gut Pronstorf. Today, following meticulous conversion work, which preserves the original character of the building, the historic structure is a venue for a wide variety of events. Thanks to its unique interior architecture – particularly in the large hall – the Kuhstall is the ideal setting for sophisticated events in an unusual atmosphere.

The Kuhstall spans two levels. Both rooms have separate entrances. The floors are finished with solid wood. There are plenty of electric sockets (lighting and mains), tiled toilet facilities, and water connections for fresh and waste water.

The large hall can be partitioned to create the ideal, harmonious setting for any planned event. A basic PA system with a microphone is provided. Eight overhead radiant heaters with an output of 11 kW each are installed on the ceiling. A goods lift with a maximum capacity of 800 kg is installed by the emergency exit in the middle of the building. Cooling fans can be operated on hot summer’s days. In addition, there is artificial ventilation. The upper floor/attic has an area of 1,250 m².

Ground floor

The ground floor with its round arch entrance directly by the paddock can also be partitioned. Its vaulted ceiling maintains a pleasantly cool temperature in the height of summer, but keeps the room cosy and warm in winter. Loudspeakers are connected with the attic floor of the Kuhhaus. At the rear of the building, there is a separate entrance for deliveries.
