Find peace and quiet in unspoilt countryside

Nestled into gently rolling hills, the idyllic village is dominated by Gut Pronstorf and surrounded by fertile fields, lush meadows, magnificent forests and the adjacent Wardersee (lake). Together with three other lakes – Kembser See, Seedorfer See and Seekamper See – the elongated Wardersee forms the remains of an ice reservoir dating back to the ice age and created at the end of the Vistula glacial period between the terminal moraines to the west and the ice margin to the east.

The River Trave flows through Wardersee, which is privately owned, and is its most important feeder river. Another feeder river is Bißnitz. Wardersee is renowned for its exceptional abundance of fish. One of the pairs of white-tailed sea eagles native to Schleswig-Holstein breeds on its banks. The fishing rights are let to a fisherman.

Three former aristocratic fiefdoms are located around Wardersee: Gut Wensin, Gut Rohlstorf and Gut Pronstorf.
